3M Boosts 4th-Quarter Sales 9%

3M has reported fiscal-fourth-quarter sales of US$8 billion, up 9 percent from one year earlier.
Sales in the company’s industrial segment increased 6.9 percent to $2.7 billion during the fourth quarter, and sales in its health care division rose 6 percent to $1.5 billion. 3M’s safety and graphics division increased sales 15 percent to $1.5 billion, while its electronics and energy division reported $1.3 billion in quarterly sales, a 12.5 increase from the previous year.
