3M Contracted by USDA

3M has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS).

The deal calls for 3M to supply the USDA FSIS with pathogen detection equipment. The agency will use 3M’s Molecular Detection System as the main primary testing method for salmonella, listeria, and E. coli. Financial terms of the contract were not announced.
