March 15, 2019Accessible by: anyone
3M, in partnership with Discovery Education, has launched the 2019 Young Scientist Challenge.
Now in its 12th year, the contest calls for students in grades 5-8 to submit a video demonstrating an innovation that could provide a solution to an everyday problem. A panel of judges will select 10 finalists who will then be paired with a 3M scientist to create an invention that solves the problem they identified.
The 10 finalists will receive US$1,000 and a trip to 3M’s Innovation Center in St. Paul, MN. The winning student will be crowned “America’s Top Young Scientist” and receive $25,000.
