3M Reports 2nd-Quarter Earnings Growth

3M has reported fiscal-second-quarter earnings of US$1.58 billion, or $2.58 per share, up from $1.29 billion, or $2.08 per share, one year earlier.
The company’s total revenue rose 1.9 percent to $7.8 billion. Sales in the company’s industrial segment climbed 2.5 percent to $2.7 billion during the second quarter, while its health care division increased quarterly sales 1.8 percent.
