Demand for UV Disinfection Equipment Expected to Grow

The worldwide demand for ultraviolet (UV) disinfection equipment is expected to grow 7.9 percent per year to US$1.5 billion by 2021, according to a new study from industry market research firm The Freedonia Group, Inc.

The study attributes the growth to a decline in chemical use in response to increased governmental regulations. In addition, the report forecasted that while the United States will remain the largest market for UV equipment, every region will experience healthy growth over the next four years.
