Eastman Acquires German Chemical Firm

Eastman Chemical Co. has acquired the manufacturing assets and related chemical formulations of Marlotherm from international chemical producer Sasol.

The purchase expands Eastman’s portfolio of chemical solutions and includes Marlotherm’s production facilities in Germany. Marlotherm’s line of heat transfer fluids will become part of Eastman’s specialty fluids division.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.
