Ecolab Increases 3rd-Quarter Profits 11%

Ecolab, Inc. has declared a fiscal third-quarter profit of US$435 million, or $1.48 per share, up 11 percent from $393 million, or $1.34 per share, one year earlier.
The company reported third-quarter sales of $3.75 billion, an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period one year ago. Ecolab’s industrial segment improved sales by 8 percent, while revenues in the company’s institutional business grew 6 percent.
