Ecolab Reports 4th-Quarter Profit Increase

Ecolab, Inc. has declared a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of US$406.7 million, or $1.39 per share, up 11 percent from $368.2 million, or $1.25 per share, one year earlier.
The company reported fourth-quarter net sales of $3.56 billion, an increase of 7.2 percent compared to the same period one year ago. Ecolab’s industrial segment improved sales 5 percent, while revenues in the company’s institutional business grew 3 percent.
