Fire Strikes Marcal Production Facility

Earlier this week, a 10-alarm fire struck the Elmwood Park, NJ, paper factory of Marcal, a Soundview Paper Co.

Strong winds and arctic temperatures hindered firefighters attempting to extinguish the blaze, which was reported late Wednesday afternoon, NBC News reports. None of the 200 employees working at the plant at the time of the fire were injured but authorities report nearly 90 percent of the factory was damaged.
