Officials at Britton Deerfield School District in Lenawee County, MI, temporarily closed all district facilities last week due to an influenza outbreak.

More than 20 percent of students in the district called in sick last week, prompting officials to implement the shutdown last Friday. School custodians enacted enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures over the weekend, and classes resumed on Monday, WWJ News Radio reports.
