Georgia-Pacific to Upgrade Florida Manufacturing Facility

Georgia-Pacific, LLC, parent company of Georgia-Pacific Professional, will invest more than US$400 million to upgrade its Palatka, FL, pulp and paper mill.

The facility, which manufactures tissues and towels for Georgia-Pacific’s premium private label collection, will be outfitted with a new paper machine designed to increase production capabilities. Georgia-Pacific anticipates the expansion project will be complete by 2019 and will add more than 80 new jobs, The Florida Times-Union reports.
