Henkel Acquires Darex Packaging

Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, parent company of Dial Professional, has submitted a binding offer to acquire Darex Packaging Technologies from GCP Applied Technologies for US$1.05 billion.
Henkel’s purchase of the Cambridge, MA-based manufacturer would boost its offerings of high-performance sealants and coatings. The deal is expected to be finalized by the middle of the year, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, MarketWatch.com reports.
