Industry Loses Former ISSA President John Marcus

John W. Marcus, former president of ISSA and vice president of Hysan Corp., passed away April 21, 2017. He was 88 years old.

Marcus was born in Chicago, IL, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Marcus was a longtime employee of Hysan Corp., working in a variety of leadership roles during his tenure, including vice president of sales.

Marcus served as ISSA president in 1987. He was named the recipient of ISSA’s Jack D. Ramaley Industry Distinguished Service Award in 1993.

Marcus is survived by his wife, four children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
