ISSA Names Petri Rekola to European Council

ISSA has further strengthened its European Council with the appointment of Petri Rekola as representative for the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden). 

Rekola is the Rekola Oy Trolley Systems, ISSA’s longest-standing member in Finland. He has been in industry more than 20 years, having taken over his father’s business after working extensively in the automotive industry. Rekola’s passion is inventing new applications to meet market needs, working not only on his own lines of products, but also developing new technologies for other companies in the commercial and institutional cleaning industry.

Not only does Rekola hope to connect local members together through ISSA networking events, starting in 2018, and identify ISSA tools or new projects that can be useful to the region, but he also hopes to bring some of the Nordic region’s innovative ideas to the rest of ISSA’s members.

“Our Nordic membership has been growing this last year and we felt it was time to devote a more concerted effort toward the region to support their needs and those of their customers,” said ISSA Director of International Services Dianna Steinbach. “We are thrilled to have Petri join our European Council to represent the region. He has great insights into the market, especially the healthcare arena, which we hope can add to ISSA’s efforts to help change the way the world views cleaning.”
