Johnson Controls Secures Deal With Samford University

Johnson Controls, Inc. has been contracted to provide Samford University with more than US$30 million worth of campus-wide infrastructure improvements.
The agreement calls for Johnson Controls to provide the Birmingham, AL, campus with a chilled water plant, which will be operational by February 2019. Johnson Controls will also install lighting upgrades, energy efficient windows, HVAC and electrical improvements, and a modernized building automation system. The project is anticipated to save Samford University more than $ 51 million in energy and operational savings over the next 20 years.
