Johnson Controls to Divest Power Solutions Division

Johnson Controls, Inc. has divested its power solutions division to Brookfield Business Partners L.P. for US$13.2 billion.

According to Johnson Controls, the sale is part of the company’s long-term goal to streamline its portfolio and focus on providing building technologies and solutions. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and required regulatory approvals and is expected to close by June 30, 2019.
