Johnson Controls, Inc. has secured a contract with Beaufort, SC, to implement a city-wide infrastructure improvement and energy conservation project.

The US$3.1 million contract calls for Johnson Controls to upgrade the city’s municipal buildings with energy-efficient HVAC systems, building automation systems, and lighting. The project is expected to reduce the city’s carbon footprint and save Beaufort more than $5.4 million in energy and operating costs over the next 15 years based on current energy prices.
