Kimberly-Clark Increases 3rd-Quarter Profit 3%

Kimberly-Clark Corp., parent company of Kimberly-Clark Professional, has reported first-quarter earnings of US$567 million, or $1.60 per share, up 3 percent from $550 million, or $1.52 per share, one year earlier.

Kimberly-Clark also reported revenue of $4.64 billion for the quarter, an increase of 1.1 percent from the prior year’s third quarter. Sales in the company’s Kimberly-Clark Professional segment increased 3 percent from the previous year to $800 million.
