Lawsuit Filed Over Norovirus Outbreak

A lawsuit has been filed against Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. over a recent norovirus outbreak at its Sterling, VA, restaurant.

Last week, more than 100 customers reported symptoms of the gastrointestinal illness, prompting Chipotle to temporarily close the restaurant for a thorough sanitization. The outbreak was traced to a sick employee of the restaurant.

Two of the infected customers have filed a lawsuit against Chipotle seeking US$75,000 in damages, WRC-TV reports.
