Henry Avocado Corp. has issued a voluntary recall of its avocados sold in bulk to retail locations in six states.

The Escondido, CA-based produce provider issued the recall after routine governmental product testing at the company’s packaging facility revealed traces of the bacteria. The potentially tainted avocados were grown in California and distributed to retailers in Arizona, California, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.

Henry Avocado is working with federal and state health authorities to determine the source of the listeria. So far, no reports of illness have been linked to the avocados.
