Listeria Risks Prompt Recall of Green Beans

Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods LLC has issued a voluntary recall for its frozen organic fine whole green beans.

Front Royal, VA-based Nature’s Touch issued the recall after random product testing by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection revealed traces of the bacteria. The frozen green beans were shipped to retailers throughout the Eastern United States. The company is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to determine the source of the bacteria.

So far no reports of illness have been linked to potentially contaminated vegetables, The Miami Herald reports.
