New York Delays Enforcement of Cleaning Product Disclosure Program

The New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NYDEC) has announced it will postpone enforcing the Household Cleansing Product Information Disclosure Program until January 2, 2020.
Established in June 2018, the NYDEC’s program requires manufacturers of cleaning products sold in in the state of New York to disclose chemical ingredients and other information on their websites. The program was initially set to go in effect July 1, 2019, but earlier this year was delayed until October 2, 2019.
