Newell Brands Increases 4th-Quarter Sales

Newell Brands, parent company of Rubbermaid Commercial Products, has reported fourth-quarter net sales of US$4.14 billion, up 165 percent from $1.56 billion in the prior year.

Newell attributes the significant gains to the inclusion of net sales from Jarden Corp., which the company purchased in April 2016. The company’s commercial-products division posted quarterly sales of $208.9 million, up from $207.1 million one year earlier.
