Officials at John Muir Elementary in Seattle, WA, closed the school’s facilities Thursday due to an outbreak of norovirus.

Seattle Public Schools officials ordered the temporary closure after an undisclosed number of students were sickened with the gastrointestinal virus. School custodians will perform a thorough cleaning of all high-touch areas during the closure, KCPQ-TV reports.

The school is likely to reopen Friday.
