Charlotte Products’ OptiSolve division and the Kelley Lab at the University of Toronto have received a CAN$4.5 million grant from the Canadian government.

OptiSolve and the Kelley Lab will use the grant to continue research on the detection and identification of surface microbial contamination in high-risk facilities. Currently the two organizations are working to combine nanomaterials with a genomics-based approach that will allow for the identification of the pathogens causing healthcare-acquired infections (HAIs).
