Pennsylvania School District Contracts ABM to Cut Energy Costs

ABM Facility Services has secured a contract with the Connellsville Area School District in Fayette County, PA, to implement energy and facility improvement projects in several school district buildings.

The contract calls for ABM to upgrade seven school district facilities with energy-efficient HVAC systems, LED lighting, water conservation enhancements, and updated energy management systems.

Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the county’s energy consumption and save the school district more than US$26.4 million in energy and operating costs during the next 15 years. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
