SCA’s shareholders have approved the company’s board of director’s proposal to split the company into two separately listed companies.
SCA’s board proposed the split in August 2016. The company’s forest products will continue as SCA while its hygiene, personal care, and tissue divisions will operate as a separate entity known as Essity. SCA anticipates the division to be complete by the second half of this year.
SCA Tissue is a leading producer of away-from-home tissue products in North America. It is a division of SCA, a global consumer goods and paper company headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.
