WHO Publishes Infection Prevention Standards

he World Health Organization (WHO) published a universal set of standards to help guide national governments and health care facilities in proper infection prevention.

In an abstract published January 10, WHO recommended standards such as establishing national infection prevention programs, educating health care staff, emphasizing proper hand hygiene, and proper waste disposal.
